Cartel was created in 1996 to provide gear for coastal communities around the world.
The products Cartel set out to provide for these beach based communities were surfboards,
bodyboards, skimboards, skimskates, wakeboards, and boardwalk bikes.
 
To promote our brand and expand our customer base we immediately produced
Cartel brand clothing including hats, t-shirts, wallets, hoodies and cargo shorts all before
shaping one board, building one bike or pressing one deck.

In the evolution of our company we now also offer flowboards, rash guards and wetsuits,
as well as taking our clothing line in a more fashion oriented direction.

To aid in the promotion of our brand we formed a street and ocean team comprised of individuals
that we felt represented our brand and life style.

Frankly, the attitude of the company was "you either ride with us, or collide with us."
We have made many mistakes over the past 15 years, but it was all in an effort to support
our team and customers to the best of our abilities no matter how much trouble it got us in.

We have had to take a lot of hard knocks, as well as spend hundreds of thousands of dollars
getting to where we are today to make Cartel the brand it has become.

Along the way we have been helped out by so many great people including designers, distributors,
retailers, lawyers, friends, team riders and family.
We say thank you to those individuals that inspired and supported us to take the brand
to the next level in the Action Sport Retail industry. Without you there would be no us!

only we can call ourselves the true Cartel for the worlds clothing and sporting good needs.
